Hello friends! Happy Columbus Day or holiday we have the most mixed feelings about. So if you are like me and you have to work on Columbus Day, it doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a little festive online shopping on your lunch break! There are plenty of sales and it’s a great time to stock up on sweaters and outerwear before winter.
I absolutely love this studded fit & flare dress I found on sale Forever 21. I got so many compliments on it and I love that it transitions so well from work in to evening! More of my end of summer sale finds to come 🙂
I have loved the boyfriend jean trend for going on two years now, although it took a long time to find a pair I actually like. My favorite pair was actually giving to me for Christmas. The problem I had was finding some that slouchy but still fit my waist. Once you hunt a pair down, it is totally worth it!
This is a great casual trend that is really effortless. The trick is making sure you pair these masculine jeans with feminine pieces.
Here are three ways to wear this trend:
1. My way:
My pair are a lighter-wash distressed boyfriend jean from Forever 21. I paired them with a navy blue crochet top that happens to be see-through so I wear a navy blue tank underneath. It’s light and feminine so it pairs well. I also know the crochet trend is popping up everywhere and if you aren’t careful how you wear it, you might look like a doily, so pairing that top with some funky jeans is perfect. Completing the look are my go-to lace-up gladiator sandals (I know I wear them a lot but they are my favorites!) and I chose a southwestern print tote with leather straps to keep the whole ensemble from being bland.
I have a huge style crush on Rachel Bilson. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her look anything short of fabulous. She knows how to be casual and look like she’s not trying while still managing to be chic. Her staple pieces are plain, white v-necks, fitted blazers and boyfriends jeans.
I love the metallic trend for spring. Since I have tan skin, golden tones look great on me, but slivers wash me out. The best way to find what metallic works best for you is to experiment. All over America you are loving this trend.
Here are three glorious ways to look like you belong in Cleopatra’s harem.
1. My way: The metallic skirt with a natural top. This is how I wear it. I bought this skirt from Forever 21 over a year ago and it still looks amazing. I literally have people stopping me on the streets to ask where I got it.
I wear them with a white tank or a beige blouse to juxtapose the show-stopping metallic. I love pairing it with my favorite lace-up gladiators.
